• You can only hunt animals that fall under your specific license.
• Animals cannot be hunted from a vehicle or chased.
• Hunting is only allowed during daylight hours.
• Females, young, or immature animals may not be hunted.
Tanzania’s hunting season is regulated from 1st July to 31st December. These months constitute the “dry season,” but should you travel in November or December, you may experience some wet weather.
Your accommodation again brings back Africa of old, with tented accommodation within the hunting block. The only difference is that these are luxurious tents, with modern amenities, a real home-away-from-home! You will have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views across the bush as you relax after a great day’s hunting.
You can expect to enjoy exceptional African cuisine with the resident chef onsite ensuring quality, tasty meals. Local game meat from recent hunts is often incorporated into the menu, with Cape buffalo backstrap over the coals being particularly enticing.
International hunters should land at either Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro International Airport near Arusha.
There are various options available for traveling to the Lunda Nkwambi GCA Hunting Block:
• Enjoy a domestic flight on Precision Air, from Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro International Airport to Dodoma.
• A flight from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma will cost approximately US$300 return and take around 1h 15 min.
• A flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Dodoma will cost approximately US$150 return, and will take about 1hr 30 min.
• Upon your arrival in Dodoma, you will journey about 3 1/2 hours by road to reach the hunting grounds.
Remember to check requirements before visiting Tanzania, as they may change at any given time.
