Book Your Buffalo and Plains game adventurous Hunt in Niassa, Mozambique

If you’re seeking a once-in-a-lifetime hunting adventure, Africa hunts in Niassa, Mozambique, should be at the top of your list. Known for its pristine wilderness and incredible wildlife, Niassa offers one of the most remote and thrilling dangerous game hunting experiences in Africa.

The journey to Niassa is as much a part of the adventure as the hunt itself. To reach our hunting area in Coutada Marangira, you’ll first fly commercially from Johannesburg (JHB) to Pemba, Mozambique, with SA Air. From there, your host’s charter flight will take you directly to the camp. Alternatively, you can travel through Maputo, then take a flight to Lichinga, followed by a scenic six-hour drive to the camp. Although the journey may take some time, once you arrive, you’ll quickly realize that this untamed wilderness is well worth the effort.

Accommodation

Upon arrival at camp, you’ll be welcomed to a place where rustic charm meets comfort. The camp blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural beauty, offering the perfect retreat after a long day of Africa plains game hunting. The accommodations are simple yet comfortable, providing everything you need—cozy beds, hearty meals, and a relaxed atmosphere to unwind and reflect on the day’s experiences. Here, the true spirit of Africa is never far away, and you’ll be immersed in the sights and sounds of the bush, setting the stage for an unforgettable hunting experience.

The Hunt Begins

Hunting in Niassa is an adventure like no other. The vast landscapes, with their diverse ecosystems, provide the perfect backdrop for hunting some of Africa’s most sought-after game. Our main hunting concession, Coutada Marangira, spans 988,000 acres of Miombo woodlands, riverine forests, open savannah, and seasonal wetlands. This incredible variety of habitats is home to the Buffalo, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, Niassa Wildebeest, Livingston Eland, Waterbuck, and the legendary Roosevelt Sable.

As you embark on your hunt, the terrain offers both challenge and reward. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to Antelope hunting, the landscape itself plays a key role. Navigating through thick bush, tracking your quarry, and dealing with the rugged terrain are all part of the thrill of hunting in Niassa. Each animal here is a worthy challenge, and whether you’re after Africa plains game or the more elusive and dangerous game hunting species, Niassa offers it all.

Shot Placement and the Art of Hunting

When it comes to hunting in Niassa, shot placement is crucial. The thick brush and varied terrain mean that you need to be precise in your shots to ensure a clean and ethical kill. Our experienced guides will be with you every step of the way, providing expert advice on everything from angles and distances to timing. Whether you’re hunting the mighty Buffalo, a fleet-footed Lichtenstein Hartebeest, or a majestic Livingston Eland, proper shot placement is key.

For example, the Niassa Wildebeest can be tough to track and requires a steady hand. With its impressive build and difficult terrain, this is a true test for any hunter. Likewise, the elusive Roosevelt Sable, one of Africa’s most stunning antelope, demands precision and patience. Every animal presents its own unique challenges, and with the right preparation and shot placement, your hunt will be both successful and ethical.

Whether you’re focused on Africa plains game like the Waterbuck or engaged in dangerous game hunting with a Buffalo, each day in the field offers new opportunities for adventure. Our guides will ensure you’re ready, helping you refine your technique, offering insights into animal behavior, and making sure you’re prepared when that perfect moment comes.

The Niassa Experience

When you book your Africa hunts in Niassa, you’re not just hunting game—you’re stepping into one of Africa’s last untouched wildernesses. The sheer remoteness and pristine nature of the region make it the perfect setting for hunting the most iconic species, including the Roosevelt Sable and Niassa Wildebeest. Niassa is one of the premier destinations for dangerous game hunting, and it offers unparalleled opportunities to take on Africa’s most coveted game, including the powerful Buffalo and the magnificent Livingston Eland.

The beauty of Niassa is in its rugged terrain and untouched wildlife. Here, the landscape is as diverse as the species it supports—from dense forests and rolling hills to winding rivers and open savannah. It’s this raw, unspoiled environment that makes Africa hunts in Niassa so special. Whether you’re pursuing the Waterbuck or chasing the elusive Roosevelt Sable, the natural beauty and thrilling challenge of the hunt will stay with you long after the adventure ends.
