This is a rare chance to experience an unforgettable hunting adventure in Zambia at an exceptional rate. Nkala GMA is located on the eastern boundary of Kafue National Park, which spans over 8,500 square miles, making it Zambia’s oldest and largest wildlife reserve.
This heavily discounted Crocodile Hunt is available at this special price only for 2025.
Important Note: Due to administration “hiccups” in transferring the hunting rights for this exceptional concession in Nkala to this internationally accredited African outfitter, promoting these safaris at the U.S. hunting expos (SCI, DSC, Houston, Shot Show, etc.) in early 2025 could not take place. As a result, this rare opportunity is now being offered at a significantly reduced rate to meet annual big game quotas. Prices are expected to rise sharply in 2026.
This concession has not been hunted in the last six years, offering a truly wild and authentic African experience.
Nkala Camp: Where Bush Elegance Meets Untamed Africa
The client tents at Nkala Camp offer the perfect blend of bush luxury and rustic charm, each with a private view of the unspoiled wilderness. Designed for comfort and relaxation, every tent features a cozy bed, an en-suite bathroom with an indoor shower and toilet, and a private deck—the ideal spot to unwind with a book while the river flows gently at your feet and the vast plains stretch endlessly into the horizon.
From the fire-pit seating area, guests can watch resident hippos wallowing in the mud, their broad backs serving as perches for delicate white herons. Along the river’s edge, Crocodiles bask in the sun or silently slip into the water, occasionally making an appearance to remind you that this is true, untamed Africa.
Nkala Camp exudes bush luxury with a hint of bohemian wildness, ensuring an immersive and authentic safari experience. For coffee lovers, your early morning brew is never far away—savored best as the first rays of the sun ripple across the river like scattered diamonds, while water lilies slowly unfurl their petals for the day. As evening falls, the landscape is bathed in a warm golden glow, creating the perfect backdrop for a sun-downer by the open fire.
Nkala sits in a game management area almost on the boundary of the Kafue National Park, which is the oldest and the largest national park in Zambia.
The landscape is totally different to that of South Luangwa National Park, in that this area is open savanna grassland, with some marshy regions that swell with water during the rainy season, and dense scrubby hideouts providing perfect camouflage for wild herds. The area is renowned for its herds of Cape Buffalo, big Sable, Crocodile and Hipo, plus there is plenty of cat action, both Lion and Leopard.

Traveling to the Nkala hunting concession begins with entering Zambia through Lusaka, the nation’s capital, and arriving at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Upon arrival, a team member will be there to assist with any necessary paperwork or administrative tasks.
From Lusaka, hunters will travel to Nkala via a road transfer, which takes approximately 4.5 hours. For those who prefer a faster option, a private charter can be arranged at an additional cost, though it is not required.
Oliver Tambo International Airport in South Africa serves as a key entry point for travelers heading to Zambia, meaning hunters may need to transit through Johannesburg. Depending on flight schedules, an overnight stay in Johannesburg may be necessary. We recommend the African Sky Boutique Hotel, conveniently located just 10 minutes from Oliver Tambo.
African Sky also offers transfer services to and from the airport, as well as assistance with firearm permits. If a firearm cannot be checked directly to Lusaka, a temporary permit for South Africa may be needed, requiring hunters to complete a SAPS 520 form. Hunters traveling to Zambia for a safari will need a visa to enter the country. Most hunters will require a tourist visa, as hunting is considered a tourism activity. Visas can be obtained on arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
A Temporary Firearms Import Permit (TIP) is required to bring hunting rifles into Zambia. This permit is arranged by your outfitter before arrival. It is recommended to check with the Zambian Department of Immigration or your outfitter before traveling, as visa policies may change.

Whether it is the size of Lake Tanganyika, the largest lake in the world, or a safari to Lake Mweru, or a trip to Lake Kariba, Zambia’s vast expanse of water has something for everyone.
