This is amazing Crocodile country. There are enormous Crocodiles occupying these territories. The Nile Crocodile is one of the most unusual trophies that can be hunted in Africa, sporting an armored body with a tiny reptilian brain.
Crocodiles are extremely dangerous for those who venture down to the water’s edge, do not be fooled by this Apex Predator, they are ever alert and “on guard”.
This hunt includes the trophy fee for a Nile Crocodile up to twelve feet. A Crocodile of this size would be over thirty-five years old. In South Africa, like with Elephant trophy fee being payable per pound, Crocodiles are priced at per foot price!!
This Nile Crocodile hunt has had a success rate of 100% over the last hunting season, producing some real giants!!

The best time to hunt Crocodile South Africa, particularly in Kruger Region, depends on personal preferences and factors such as weather, vegetation, and animal behavior. However, the dry season, typically from May to October, is often considered the prime time for Crocodile hunting. The months of January to February can have rain continuing for days on end.
During the dry season, vegetation is sparse, making it easier to spot a Crocodile sunning on the river banks. Water sources become scarce, leading animals, especially Crocodile to gather around remaining waterholes, increasing the likelihood of successful hunts. The cooler temperatures during this time also make for more comfortable hunting conditions.
The hunt will be done on foot. You and your professional game hunter will walk and stalk. Crocodiles can either be found hiding in the shallow waterways, or warming on an embankment. Once a big Crocodile has been spotted, you and the PH will decide on a plan, and it will be “game on”.
Hunters often sneak up to Crocodiles in their socks, as these amazing creatures have excellent hearing, smell and eye-site. Sneaking up to a Crocodile is not that easy, they do not grow so big and old by being stupid!!
Crocodile shot placement is critical. The first shot has to anchor the Crocodile, else he will disappear into the murky depths, most likely gone forever.
