From either entry points into South Africa, you will need to take a domestic flight of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, arriving in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Kudu are one of the most elusive Africa Plains Game animals to hunt in South Africa. These animals use thick bush and tall grasses for cover, making them difficult to spot. Blesbok Ewes: Blesbok may seem like they’re easy to find in the open grasslands, but these animals are always on high alert. It’s essential to pick the right target out of the herd, making this hunt a challenge.
Warthogs might be smaller and appear easier to take down, but these animals are fast and unpredictable. Hunting four of them will require a mix of patience, luck and skill. No African hunting safari is complete without hunting a few Warthogs.
Springbok Rams: Springbok are known for their speed and agility. Their small size makes them a tough target, especially when they’re darting across open plains.
The Impala is one of Africa’s most agile and fleet-footed animals. While they are abundant in the Eastern Cape, they are also quick to flee if they sense danger.
Black Wildebeest or Red Hartebeest Cows: Whether you’re targeting Black Wildebeest or Red Hartebeest cows, these animals are no slouches. Both species are strong and resilient, with Black Wildebeest often standing their ground when threatened. Red Hartebeest are fast and can cover great distances quickly.
This management hunt is an excellent opportunity for hunters who want to make a real difference in wildlife conservation while challenging themselves in one of Africa’s most beautiful and diverse environments.

South Africa is not regulated with regards to a specific hunting season and Plains Game Hunts can take place throughout the all year. The cooler months, which run from April to October are preferred. In summer, the temperatures are just to high. The drier months see the grasses being shorter in the veld, and the bush veld not as dense, both of which allows hunters to more easily spot their prey.
The months of November through to February are also the rainy season. Rain showers and bad weather can continue for days in the hotter months.
