    Traveling to the Eastern Cape, SA

    The easiest option is for hunters to fly into OR Tambo International in Johannesburg and then take a regional flight of around 1 ½ hours to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Alternatively, hunters can fly into Cape Town International Airport in Cape Town. An hour’s domestic flight will see them landing in Gqeberha.

    From there, a 2 ½ hour road transfer will see hunters arriving at the hunting grounds near Cradock.

    Tips when African Plains Game Hunting

    The Eastern Cape is one of South Africa’s most popular plains game destinations, offering hunters the challenge of diverse landscapes, an abundance of game species and trophies, and challenging conditions. Check out some tips when plains game hunting in the Eastern Cape:

    • While hunting in South Africa is available throughout the year, the best time to hunt is from May to September, when the vegetation is shorter, allowing easier visibility for hunters. The animals are also more likely to gather around remaining water sources during this drier season.

    • A good level of physical fitness is recommended, as  plains game hunts require a good deal of walking and stalking

    Cancellation Policy:
    In the event of a client canceling a safari less than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the safari, the deposit will be forfeited if the dates cannot be rescheduled to alternate date/within the same season. Safaris cancelled more than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the hunt will be refunded the deposit less 50%. This 50% will not be refunded, but can be applied to a future safari with alternate date/s within the same season.
    Security Deposit ($): $4950
    Details about the security deposit :
    A deposit of 50% is required to secure a booking. Deposits will be refunded if safari is cancelled 6 months prior to start off safari or if safari can be rebooked. A hunt is only CONFIRMED once a contract has been undertaken between the outfitter and the client, and a deposit has been paid.
