Why visit South Africa For Your Next Safari
South Africa is renowned as the best destination for African hunts, offering game hunting enthusiasts a range of game species unrivalled elsewhere on the continent! It is one of only two countries worldwide where both the African plains game and all of Africa’s Big 5 game species can be hunted, while offering exceptional trophy animals throughout the country.
Apart from the game hunting options on offer, South Africa is also seen as safe when compared to other African countries, with the added advantages of:
Hunting Methods & Rifle Calibers
For those hunters bringing their firearms into South Africa, a SAPS 520 Import Form needs to be completed.
When hunting Cape Buffalo, a minimum of a .375 must be used. Large calibers will also do the trick, as the old saying goes, there is no such thing as too much firepower when facing a Cape Buffalo! Cape Buffalo are usually hunted by tracking and stalking, with the flat terrain of the concession being the perfect backdrop for an exciting stalk!
