    • A flight from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma will cost approximately US$300 return and take around 1h 15 min.
    • A flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Dodoma will cost approximately US$150 return, and will take about 1hr 30 min.
    • Upon your arrival in Dodoma, you will journey about 3 1/2 hours by road to reach the hunting grounds.
    • There is another option of a charter straight into Lunda, at US$5500, including transfer to the hunting grounds.

    Hunting Methods in Tanzania

African plains game species are often targeted through the walk-and-stalk method, with the dry season (July-October) seeing the animals more active around the waterholes, allowing hunters a greater opportunity to target them.

    Bow hunting is also available.

Hyenas are lured with bait and hunted from a blind. The walk-and-stalk method is not commonly used, due to the highly elusive nature of the species.
