Greater Kudu Side View Shot Placement, Large Antelope

    Shot Placement & Rifle Caliber

When it comes to game hunting and shot placement on large antelope, it is the primary responsibility of hunters to kill the animal with the first shot, it really is just that simple. Read up on the best shot placement options for large antelopes to be adequately prepared for this trio of plains game. A 30.06 is a great caliber for hunting Kudu, Roan, and Sable, while larger rifles such as a .375 right up to a .458, loaded with a solid bullet, can work well. For longer shots, a 7mm or 300-win mag is also an option.
