Traveling for the Plains Game Hunt

International hunters can enter South Africa making use of two options, namely Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, or landing in Cape Town International Airport. As South Africa is not regulated by a specific hunting season, dangerous game hunts can take place all year around. The best time to hunt in South Africa will be during the cooler months, from April until October. Temperatures are too hot in the summer months, with increased tick and insect activity.

The Springbuck hunt in South Africa: Method

The best time for plains game hunts in South Africa is in the early morning after sunrise or the late afternoon magical hour when the bush “comes alive.”. In the eastern Cape, some shots can be a little trickier due to the average shooting distance.
