    Trophy Hunting in Cameroon

Cameroon is a challenging hunting destination, offering immense rewards with a wide array of sought-after trophies, including the elusive Bongo and Sitatunga.

    The Safari Includes:

    Additional Species available for Hunting

Cameroon is renowned for its wide array of sought-after species for avid trophy collectors, making it the perfect destination to not only challenge themselves but also harvest unique and rare trophies. Hunters must have a Big Game hunting permit, and this specific hunt features the Bongo and Sitatunga (Group A), as well as FOUR species from Group B or C.

These possible species include the Giant Forest Hog, Bush pig and Peter’s Duiker in Group B and the Gabon, Blue, Bay, Ogilby’s, and Black-fronted Duikers, as well as the Python and Bates’ Pygmy antelope in Group C.

Please see the additional menu for trophy options and fees, as fees are not included in the package price. Note that only one of each species may be hunted; it is illegal to hunt more than one trophy of the same species, irrespective of the hunting license.

    Anti-Poaching & Community-Development Program

In addition to the trophy fee,  a 10% additional fee will be collected in camp. These funds are used to fund anti-poaching and community development programs, as well as to advocate for the value of wildlife to villagers adjacent to the hunting blocks.

    The Outfitter hosting the Hunt

This Outfitter has been offering hunts in Cameroon for more than 28 years, with five hunting camps in the Cameroon savanna region, as well as numerous camps in the rainforests of this diverse destination.

    Traveling to the Hunting Concession

Hunters must travel to Douala in Cameroon. From Douala, a charter flight SHARED with other hunters will transport hunters to an airstrip in Lokomo. From there, depending on which camp you are based in, there is a road transfer of between 20-minute and 5-hours.

The shared charter flight costs approximately US$4,800 for a round trip.

What to Pack when hunting in Cameroon

This Outfitter offers a daily laundry service, so keep the packing to a minimum. Pack some long pants and shirts for protection against bugs, critters, and vegetation while hunting, with shorts and T-shirts while relaxing in camp. A light waterproof jacket is ideal for cooler early mornings and rainy weather
