Big Game Hunting in Cameroon

Cameroon is a challenging hunting destination, offering immense rewards with a wide array of sought-after trophies.

On your Cameroon safari, you will hunt:

• 1 x Western Roan
• 1 x North Western Buffalo
• 4 x Additional Group B/C species

Additional Species available for Hunting

Cameroon is renowned for its wide array of sought-after species for avid trophy collectors. Hunters must have a Big Game hunting permit, and this specific hunt features the North Western Buffalo and Western Roan (Group A), as well as FOUR species from Group B or C.

These possible species include the Western Hartebeest, Harnessed Bushbuck, Hyena, Nigerian Bohor Reedbuck, Central African Cob, and Warthog in Group B and the Red-flanked Duiker, Western Bush Duiker, Sudan Oribi, Python, Civet, and Baboon in Group C.

Please see the additional menu for trophy options and fees, as fees are not included in the package price. Note that only one of each species may be hunted; it is illegal to hunt more than one trophy of the same species, irrespective of the hunting license.

Anti-Poaching & Community-Development Program

In addition to the trophy fee,  a 10% additional fee will be collected in camp. These funds are used to fund anti-poaching and community development programs, as well as to advocate for the value of wildlife to villagers adjacent to the hunting blocks.

This Outfitter has been offering hunts in Cameroon for more than 28 years, with five hunting camps on the Cameroon savanna region, as well as numerous regions in the rainforests of this diverse destination.

Traveling to the Hunting Grounds

Hunters need to travel to Douala, Cameroon, from where a domestic flight needs to be taken to Garoua. Hunters will be met at the airport and from there the hunting concession will be reached after a 5-8hr drive, depending on your camp.

The domestic flight costs approximately US$410 for a round trip.

What to Pack when hunting in Cameroon

This Outfitter offers a daily laundry service, so keep the packing to a minimum. Pack some long pants and shirts for protection against bugs, critters, and vegetation while hunting, with shorts and T-shirts while relaxing in camp. A light jacket is ideal for cooler early mornings, but don’t forget a cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen for the day. A good pair of binoculars always comes in handy when glassing for trophies.
