The camp on the Nyaminga GMA is in the eastern part of the concession. Set on the banks of the majestic Luangwa River, this camp oozes rustic charm. The camp offers all the comforts of a wilderness retreat, including 24-hour solar power, Starlink Wifi, scrumptious meals, local beers and South African wines - along with exceptional company! While it may be rustic, it also offers some great uninterrupted views over the river and is the perfect spot to enjoy sundowners and watch the local wildlife.
The Luangwa Valley is one of Zambia’s most prized wildlife regions. Located in the eastern part of the country, almost the entire length of the approximately 217 miles of the Luangwa River is a protected wildlife habitat. This river is the lifeblood of the region as it is otherwise a dry and harsh environment. Seasonally, the valley can change drastically from thick and wet in the early season to bone dry and hot in the late season. Nyaminga GMA has a wide habitat including large mopane woodlands, dense riverine thicket, and rolling hills make this ideal big game country. This GMA is a dangerous game paradise, and is the main focus of hunting here, with some exceptional buffalo hunting, where free-roaming “dagga boys” are tracked on foot and often taken at close range in exciting encounters! Nyaminga also has a good Lion, Leopard and Elephant population. Endemic to the Luangwa valley is the striking Cookson’s wildebeest, which can be hunted in Nyaminga, as well as good numbers of Hippo and Crocodile

In addition to the notorious Cape buffalo, there is an array of African plains game species to harvest, including the endemic Cookson’s Wildebeest. Please note that certain of the plains game species are subject to quota availability and cannot be guaranteed: Kudu, Waterbuck, Wildebeest, and Zebra. Should you be interested in hunting any of these species, please confirm ASAP.

Traveling to the Concession
Hunters need to travel to Lusaka, Zambia, after which a domestic flight to Mfuwe must be taken. The cost of the domestic flight is for the hunter’s account. Upon reaching Mfuwe, hunters will embark on a 5-hour road transfer to camp, at US$1,000.
