The accommodation is divided into a main camp, and a fly camp. The main camp called Kaungashi, is nestled on the banks of the Lunga river. It is situated in one of the prime hunting areas and provides the perfect location for a base camp. Expect all the comforts of home with comfortable beds, warm showers, 24-hour solar power, Wifi, as well as daily laundry services. Enjoy simple yet fresh, tasty meals enjoyed with good South African wines, as you settle around the fire pit and enjoy the uninterrupted views. The second accommodation is the Jipeta and is mostly used for hunting Sitatunga, Lion, Leopard, and Sable in this remote area of the concession. While more rustic than the flagship accommodation, it holds essential items that are needed when out exploring and tracking in the remote region of the concession. It offers simple but enjoyable meals with South African wines and local beers, as well as daily laundry. Also available are solar refrigeration, solar and battery power supply and WiFi.
Lunga Luswishi’s large size results in impressive habitat diversity, which in turn results in a large list of available species for plains game and dangerous game hunters. The prime hunting season for this sought-after hunting concession is from September to November. Renowned for its black-maned lions, majestic Sable and Sitatunga as well as large numbers of general plains game, this GMA ticks to the boxes for both novice and seasoned game hunting enthusiasts looking for a challenge. Lunga Luswishi GMA has access to over 60 miles of the East Lunga river as well as over 30 miles of Kafue River front, resulting in endless exceptional riverine habitat for a large variety of huntable species.
