Lunga Luswishi is home to two camps, starting with the main camp, Kaungashi. This flagship camp is nestled on the high banks of the Lunga River. Because it is situated in one of the prime hunting areas, it provides the perfect base camp for hunting most of the species in the area. Expect all the comforts of home, including comfortable beds, warm showers, 24-hour solar power, Wi-Fi, and daily laundry services. Enjoy simple yet fresh, tasty meals with good South African wines as you settle around the fire pit and take in the uninterrupted views. The second accommodation is the Jipeta fly camp, largely used for hunting Sitatunga in the area. It may also be used when hunting Lion, Leopard, and Sable. While more rustic than the flagship accommodation, it includes essential items needed when exploring and tracking in the remote region of the concession. It still offers tasty meals with South African wines and local beers, as well as daily laundry. Also available are solar refrigeration, solar and battery power supply, and Wi-Fi.
The prime hunting season for this sought-after hunting concession is from September to November. Renowned for its black-maned lions, majestic Sable and Sitatunga as well as large numbers of general plains game, this GMA ticks to the boxes for both novice and seasoned game hunting enthusiasts. Lunga Luswishi GMA has access to over 60 miles of the East Lunga river as well as over 30 miles of Kafue River front, resulting in endless exceptional riverine habitat for a large variety of huntable species. Lunga Luswishi’s large size results in impressive habitat diversity, which in turn results in a large list of available species for plains game and dangerous game hunters.
