Embarking on hunting safari to Namibia promises adventure, stunning landscapes, and unforgettable moments. A little local knowledge ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience. Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) is Namibia’s primary international gateway, located about 24.85 miles (40 kilometres) east of the city of Windhoek. After landing, be prepared for immigration and customs checks, which all moves along smoothly. Namibia, welcomes international hunters.
If you’re traveling with a firearm you can collect and arrange a permit from the Namibian office/police officials on arrival, at no cost. Officials will check your proof of ownership and the firearm’s serial number. These permits must be kept on your person when travelling with the firearms.
Namibia’s currency is the Namibian Dollar (NAD), but South African Rand (ZAR) is also widely accepted. Exchange a small amount for immediate needs. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your stay.
The hunting lodge is a four to five transfer by road, offering a chance to soak in Namibia’s beauty. Use this time to acclimate, enjoy the savanna vistas, and perhaps ask Janneman about hunting strategies or local wildlife.
The hunt in Namibia will commence when you touch down into Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek, Namibia. Due to the time allocated to the road transfer to reach the hunting concession, you will need to overnight in Windhoek. The Hilton Hotel is recommended, and has secure facilities for rifle storage. They will also arrange your collection from Hosea Kutako and drop again for your departing flight (plus the breakfasts are great). But, there are many fabulous hotels in near vicinity to each other.
While in Windhoek, there are many popular venues for dining and sampling a few of the local beers and steaks, such as “The Butchers Block”, or ” Joe’s Beer house”. We can recommend both.
Windhoek is also easy to navigate and travel is not expensive at all. You can download the Yango App, and make use of Windhoek;s version of Uber”. Near to the hotels, are a variety of retail shopping facilities for any last minute purchases (or to purchase a bottle of your favorite malt)
When you finally arrive at the hunting lodge, it will surpasses all expectations—a seamless blend of rugged wilderness charm and modern luxury. The friendly staff will greet you with warm smiles and a genuine welcome that immediately sets a relaxed tone (and cold adult beverages).
Your private chalet offers an ideal retreat after a day in the bush. Equipped with plush beds, a private bathroom, and refreshing hot showers, it’s designed to ensure your comfort. Air conditioning provides relief from the Namibian heat, while daily laundry service keeps you outfitted with fresh clothes, no matter how intense the action gets in the field.

Midday, you’re treated to satisfying lunches that sustain you through the afternoon. Evenings are capped with gourmet dinners—delicious and well-earned feasts that bring the perfect close to your adventurous days.
This camp isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a sanctuary that complements the thrill of the hunt, creating a well-rounded and unforgettable experience.
