International hunters traveling to the Simanjiro Naberera WMA will arrive via Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) in northern Tanzania. From the airport, hunters may either enjoy a scenic three-hour road transfer to camp or arrange a charter flight directly into the hunting area at an additional cost. Road transfers are approximately US$ 1,200 depending on final safari logistics and group size.
The following vaccinations are required before entry into Tanzania:
• Yellow Fever: This is only required if you are arriving from or transiting for more than 12-24 hours from a country with a high risk of yellow fever transmission and is NOT required if you are traveling directly from the US or Europe. Apart from being up to date with your routine vaccinations, it is also recommended to include the following in your regimen: Rabies, Meningitis. Polio, Tdap Vaccine (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis), Typhoid, and Hepatitis A & B.
