    Traveling to Limpopo

Hunters must land at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. The hunting grounds in Limpopo are reached via a 3-hour road transfer.

For hunters bringing in their own rifles, they must complete a SAPS 520 application upon entry into the country.

    The Hunting Grounds

When hunting African plains game in South Africa, you don’t get better than the Limpopo province, with its wide array of species and abundance of game. As part of the Springbok Flats, the hunting grounds consist of a combination of mixed grasslands, bushveld, and grassland.

The vegetation usually consists of dense thickets and open spaces, so hunters need to be skilled in walk-and-stalk techniques, as visibility can be challenging in dense bushveld areas. The 3266-acre concession has several dams, attracting wildlife to the area.

    The Hunting Lodge

The accommodation at this concession is a breath of fresh air, with local heritage and culture inspiring the three traditional, African-themed, rondavels, or round African huts. Each hut boasts its own en-suite bathroom and can sleep up to four people per hut. The rondavels enjoy their own private patio, perfect for game viewing or sipping on a sundowner in the tranquil bush setting.

The accommodation is situated in the heart of the bush with spacious entertainment, braai (barbecue), and dining areas. The swimming pool, in the entertainment area, is surrounded by a shady lapa and wild bush.

For non-hunters, there is a wide variety of activities to enjoy, including game drives (day and night), game walks, bird watching, and fishing in one of the dams. Other activities can also be arranged at a fee.
