For hunters seeking the ultimate dangerous game hunts, few experiences rival a multi-species safari in Tanzania. Combining lion, leopard, elephant, and Cape buffalo within a single hunt, this 21-day adventure takes place in the renowned Masailand region, one of East Africa's most respected wilderness hunting destinations.
Hunters researching hunting in Tanzania are often drawn by the country's vast free-range concessions, exceptional trophy quality, and long safari tradition. While many destinations can offer individual dangerous game species, very few can provide the scale, diversity, and hunting opportunities available on a safari of this magnitude.
This is not a hunt built around a single trophy. It is an opportunity to spend three weeks immersed in one of Africa's great wilderness regions while pursuing some of the continent's most iconic animals in an environment that remains remarkably wild.
Price: US$200,000
Duration: 21 Hunting Days
Hunter Configuration: 1 Hunter | 1 Professional Hunter
Hunters wishing to share the safari may book on a 2x1 basis at US$120,000 per hunter. Each hunter receives a US$ 20,000 trophy fee credit, allowing additional species to be added to the safari according to personal preferences and available quota.
This safari represents one of the most comprehensive dangerous game hunting opportunities available in Tanzania, combining four of Africa's most iconic species within a single free-range hunting adventure.
Few places in Africa can offer the combination of opportunities found in Tanzania. For hunters pursuing lion hunts and leopard hunts, the country has long been regarded as one of the continent's most respected dangerous game destinations, with vast wilderness areas and a safari heritage that stretches back generations.
What makes Tanzania different is scale. Hunting concessions often cover enormous areas of unfenced habitat where wildlife moves naturally and hunting pressure remains low. Days can be spent tracking, glassing, and exploring country that feels every bit as wild today as it did decades ago.
Masailand is a perfect example. Rolling savannas, scattered acacia woodland, seasonal river systems, and remote wilderness combine to create habitat for some of Africa's most iconic species. It is the kind of place where every day in the field feels like part of a larger adventure rather than a pursuit of a single trophy.
For hunters seeking a classic East African safari experience, Tanzania continues to occupy a place few destinations can match.
One of the unique aspects of this safari is that each included species presents a completely different challenge.
Lion hunting often revolves around patience, timing, and reading predator behavior. Leopard hunting demands attention to detail and a willingness to wait for a single opportunity. Hunters interested in learning more about these remarkable animals can also explore our Elephant Hunts guide. Elephant hunting tests a hunter's composure under pressure, while Cape buffalo hunting is widely regarded as one of Africa's most intense dangerous game pursuits.
Success on a safari of this caliber requires more than simply locating the animal. Understanding dangerous game shot placement and being prepared for the unique challenges presented by each species is an important part of ensuring safe, ethical, and successful hunting outcomes.
Over the course of 21 days, hunters experience a remarkable variety of hunting situations, terrain, and decision-making challenges. Few safaris offer such a broad dangerous game experience within a single hunt.
That diversity is one of the reasons Tanzania remains a destination that serious dangerous game hunters aspire to experience at least once in their lifetime.
This safari includes trophy fees for Lion, Leopard, Elephant, and Cape Buffalo when booked as a 1x1 hunt. Hunters wishing to share the experience may book on a 2x1 basis at US$120,000 per hunter, with each hunter receiving a US$20,000 trophy fee credit that can be applied toward additional species available within the concession.
One of the advantages of a premium Tanzanian safari is that the hunting opportunities extend far beyond the headline dangerous game species. While many hunters are drawn by the chance to pursue buffalo hunting in Tanzania, or elephant in Tanzania, and other iconic dangerous game animals, the Masailand region also offers exceptional opportunities for plains game hunts.
The concession supports an impressive variety of species, including Greater Kudu, Patterson's Eland, White-bearded Wildebeest, Gerenuk, Fringe-eared Oryx, East African Impala, Warthog, Mountain Reedbuck, Zebra, Honey Badger, Grant's Gazelle, Thomson's Gazelle, and numerous other East African plains game species.
What makes a safari of this scale special is the flexibility it offers. Rather than arriving with a short list of available animals, hunters have the opportunity to experience a genuine East African safari where additional trophy opportunities can present themselves throughout the hunt. Over the course of 21 days in the field, the focus often shifts from pursuing a single animal to experiencing the full diversity of one of Africa's most celebrated hunting regions.
Additional species and trophy fees can be viewed using the "Additional Animals" dropdown menu associated with this safari package.
International hunters typically arrive via Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) near Arusha, Tanzania. Hunters may also travel through Dar es Salaam before connecting to Arusha.
From Kilimanjaro International Airport, the road transfer to the Masailand hunting concession is approximately 2¾ hours. Hunters arriving via Arusha Airport (ARK) can expect a shorter transfer of approximately 1½ hours to camp.
Please note that road transfers are not included in the safari package price.
Accommodation is provided in comfortable safari-style tented camps designed to offer an authentic East African hunting experience without sacrificing modern comforts.
Spacious en-suite tents are available in twin or king-bed configurations and include hot running water, flushing toilets, electrical power, and private bathroom facilities. After long days in the field, hunters can relax around the campfire, enjoy freshly prepared meals, and share stories from the day's hunting beneath the African night sky.
The atmosphere is traditional safari rather than luxury resort, comfortable, practical, and perfectly suited to a wilderness hunting adventure of this scale.
