Accommodation is provided in a four-star tented camp set among the granite hills and valleys of the Kunene region. Each comfortably furnished safari tent features two single beds that can be configured as a double when required. A family unit accommodating two adults and two children is also available. Warm showers are provided using wood-fired boilers, while solar power supplies lighting and charging facilities. The central entertainment area includes a self-service bar, comfortable lounge and dining area where freshly prepared meals are served. After a day in the field, evenings can be spent around the campfire enjoying the quiet surroundings and sharing stories from the day's hunt. The camp combines the atmosphere of a traditional African tented safari with the comforts expected after a full day in the field.
The hunting grounds are situated in Namibia’s Kunene region near Kamanjab, where rugged granite hills, rocky mountain slopes, open valleys and dry riverbeds create varied hunting terrain. The arid landscape provides excellent habitat for gemsbok and Hartmann’s mountain zebra, with the latter particularly well adapted to the steeper mountainous areas. Hunting is primarily conducted using traditional spot-and-stalk methods, with hunters glassing open country and hillsides before beginning a stalk on foot.

The safari takes place around Kamanjab in Namibia's Kunene region, an area characterised by granite hills, valleys, dry riverbeds and rugged mountain terrain.
The changing landscape provides excellent habitat for gemsbok, Hartmann's mountain zebra and numerous other plains game species. Spot-and-stalk is the primary hunting method, with hunters spending time glassing open country or following game through the more mountainous sections of the hunting area.
The terrain is particularly well suited to gemsbok hunting in Namibia, with these hardy antelope exceptionally well adapted to the country's dry conditions.
Each hunting day is planned around game movement, weather conditions and the species being pursued. Your Professional Hunter and trackers will assess recent activity before heading into the hunting area, with much of the safari conducted using traditional spot-and-stalk methods.
Gemsbok are one of Namibia's signature hunting species and are renowned for their endurance, excellent eyesight and impressive horns. This package includes one trophy bull together with one non-trophy animal.
Hartmann's mountain zebra hunts provide an entirely different challenge. These zebra are exceptionally well adapted to steep, rocky terrain, requiring careful glassing, walking and patient stalking to get into a suitable shooting position.
Black-backed jackal are alert and highly adaptable predators, while Chacma baboons possess exceptional eyesight and an effective warning system within the troop, making them challenging quarry.
Together, the five included animals provide a varied plains game hunting experience rather than a safari focused solely on traditional antelope species.
Hunters wishing to add further species to their safari can do so at the applicable trophy fees, listed in the drop down menu.
Cheetah may also be available as an opportunistic hunt, subject to permits and advance arrangements. As cheetah cannot be baited, hunters should expect considerable time to be spent searching the hunting areas. The additional daily rate is US$500 per day, with a trophy fee of US$6,000. Advance notice is required so that the necessary permits can be arranged.
International hunters will generally arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek before travelling north towards Kamanjab and the Kunene hunting area.
The journey provides an excellent introduction to Namibia as the landscape changes from the surroundings of Windhoek to increasingly open and rugged hunting country.
Namibia's dry winter months offer particularly favourable conditions for plains game hunting, with cooler mornings, comfortable daytime temperatures,and increasingly sparse vegetation.
