Traveling to hunt in South Africa
Hunters will fly into OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Road transfers from OR Tambo to the hunting grounds in KwaZulu-Natal are available at US$ 750 return, with the journey taking about 4.5 hours. Alternatively, a charter flight is available, price upon request.

Hunting Methods & Rifle Calibers
This member of the Big 5 is usually hunted using the walk-and-stalk method. As with all Big 5 dangerous game hunting, the minimum legal requirement is a .375. A well-placed bullet from a 416 Rigby, 500 Jeffrey, 458 WIM or Lott will also get the job done, while double rifles such as the 470E or 500E are also often used, especially in close quarters.
