The 12,000-acre hunting concession offers American hunters a true African big game hunting experience, focused on Cape buffalo and Hippo, two of Africa’s Dangerous 7. This is a classic dangerous game hunt designed for experienced hunters seeking ethical, fair-chase hunting, professional guidance, and premium African safari accommodation.
Every aspect of the safari is conducted to international hunting standards, ensuring safety, trophy quality, and an authentic African hunting adventure. The concession features river systems, floodplains, bushveld, and mixed savanna. This habitat supports healthy populations of Cape buffalo and Hippo and provides ideal conditions for traditional spot-and-stalk hunting.
Buffalo are found in free-roaming herds covering extensive areas, while Hippo inhabit permanent rivers and dams. Hunting is conducted under strict quota management and conservation guidelines to ensure sustainability and trophy quality. Only a limited number of Buffalo and Hippo safaris are conducted each season, creating an exclusive hunting experience with minimal pressure.
Each safari is flexible and tailored to the hunter’s pace, but a typical itinerary includes:
Hunters are met on arrival and transferred to the lodge. Rifles are checked, paperwork is finalized, and a detailed dangerous game briefing is conducted. If time allows, a sight-in or short scouting drive may be arranged.
Buffalo hunts begin early in the morning. Trackers cut fresh spoor and follow Buffalo herds on foot through thick bushveld. This classic African buffalo hunt involves long stalks, close encounters, and intense moments. Only mature, hard-bossed Cape buffalo bulls are targeted.
Hippo hunting takes place along rivers or dams during early morning or late afternoon. Hippos are carefully observed to select a suitable trophy, and shots are taken only when conditions are safe and recovery is assured, in accordance with local regulations.
Evenings are spent relaxing at the lodge, enjoying quality meals, discussing the day’s hunt, and preparing for the next day. The safari follows Africa’s natural pace: unhurried and authentic.
