The hunting area covers more than 700,000 acres and offers remarkable variety in both landscape and terrain. Habitats range from dense coastal brush and semi-arid country to open savanna, valleys and rugged mountain terrain. The Winterberg Mountain range reaches elevations of approximately 7,000 feet in places, creating a hunt that can involve long hikes through hills, valleys and changing vegetation. The region also supports strong populations of spiral-horn antelope, including Cape Eland and Kudu. The Eastern Cape's cooler climate during the main hunting months makes it particularly well suited to walking hunts through this varied terrain.

This is a strong option for hunters who want variety rather than focusing on a single trophy species. Five animals are included in the package, with choices ranging from smaller antelope and plains game to larger species such as Kudu, Waterbuck and Cape Eland.

Hunting follows the principles of fair chase, with the primary method being spot, walk and stalk. Vehicles may be used to travel through the concession, but the actual hunting is conducted on foot. Strategically positioned hides may also be used in some areas.
The varied terrain means shots can range from approximately 60 to more than 300 yards. Hunters should be comfortable shooting from sticks and understand the importance of correct shot placement for African game when presented with less-than-perfect angles.
The Eastern Cape is also well known for its larger antelope. Hunters interested in eland hunts can add Cape Eland as their large-antelope choice, while those looking specifically for wildebeest hunts can select Blue Wildebeest or Golden Wildebeest depending on their package choice.

The cooler months from April through September are generally preferred for hunting in South Africa, although year-round hunting may be possible where the outfitter or landowner holds the necessary P3 exemption.
Eastern Cape winters can be particularly cold, so hunters traveling between June and August should pack appropriate warm clothing.
