Plains Game Hunting in Mozambique

Mozambique’s untamed Niassa Province in northern Mozambique offers vast areas of wild terrain with little fencing, allowing hunters to experience authentic free-range hunts. Traveling to the Concession

Hunters must fly into Pemba International Airport in Mozambique. From there, hunters can choose between a charter flight or a domestic flight, together with a 6hr drive:

• Charter a flight on a Cessna 206 from Pemba International Airport to camp (US$ 4,900 return, which can be split between hunters). The flying time to camp is roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes
• Take a domestic flight from Pemba to Lichinga, after which a 6-hour road trip will see you arrive at the hunting grounds. The cost of this is US$ 1,400 per vehicle

• The best time to hunt in Niassa is June to November, when the vegetation is shorter, allowing easier visibility for hunters. The animals are also more likely to gather around remaining water sources during this drier season.
